What is a Super Kids Race?
The Super Kids Program
The National Super Kids is a nationwide program to promote Soap Box Derby racing for children with disabilities.
What is a Super Kids Car?
With the help of Tuscarawas Valley High School students, we constructed a fleet of Super Kids cars. These are specially built two-seat Derby cars. The cars can be raced by multiple sets of drivers during each event, providing a lot of Super Kids with the experience of the thrill of the hill.
How does it work?
A Super Kid, along with an experienced Derby driver, competes against other Super Kids in an elimination format the same as our other Derby divisions. Cars race down the hill powered by gravity and the combined abilities of the two driver team. The emphasis is on participation and the thrill of accomplishment.
